I wanted something soft/padded for my 40 lb. dog (after his padded collar was destroyed by a direct skunk hit). Also, my daughter absolutely insisted the collar be red. I couldn't find one locally, so I found this one online. It's perfect, fits well, secure, presumably comfy for the dog. It has also, now, been less directly sprayed by a skunk and I was able to wash the smell out of this one. It's good quality for the money.
