- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2016This was a great purchase. I have a 90 pound Rottweiler and a 50 pound Australian Shepherd and I was really hoping that I could get one backpack that would fit both of them, so they can share it to give them breaks on hikes and since both of them don't always come on adventures together. Much to my surprise, the large backpack fits both of them wonderfully! Its just a little big on my aussie but not too bad at all, I think the medium would have been too small for her. The pockets are HUGE! which is great but please: only put a maximum of 15% of your dogs body weight on them to carry. These pockets can easily hold more than 15%, so be careful.
I realllllllly love that the backpack part can come off of the harness so quickly and easily, that really helps when we stop and I want to give my dog a break or if there is a water source that I don't want my Rottie dragging and rolling the backpack in- he Really Loves Water. Im sure the backpack could get wet and stay on fine but I just want to keep it at least a little clean. It seems very sturdy and stays on when my insane Rottie rips through brush, trees, you name it. It still looks brand new (besides some dirt).
There is a zipper mesh pocket inside each large pocket and two bands to hold a water bottle on each side. It does require you to pack each side with roughly the same weight or it will kinda sag on one side but in my opinion, thats expected with any backpack, and its still not bad by any means.
Its greatly and easily adjustable, both on the front chest straps and under the chest and stomach. I can quickly adjust it to fit both of my dogs that vary greatly in size. Also, both of my dogs don't seem to mind it being on at all.
A big question I had before I bought it was if I could use a harness with it and thankfully, harnesses work great. I put the 'jacket' part of the back pack on first, then put my dogs harness on, then the backpack velcros over the harness and the ring that attaches to a leash comes out where the handle is. Its perfect.
Overall- a great backpack and an unbeatable price (trust me, I price searched for a very long time.)

- Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2015[UPDATE]
A big hole ripped in the one pocket and the other side is starting to go. Also, the design of the front strap could be better, such as a buckle in the middle. Right now, when you try and unhook it, you have to worm the strap back through a hoop that connects and stables with the front and that hole is very small. It's very frustrating to work with. And I'm still not a fan of how a lot of the weight sits back behind the dog's shoulders where it can put pressure on their spine.
We wanted something that could hold weights and supplies for training and long hikes when we take trips to the woods/hills/mountains. This pack was a little too big for our 50 lb, 9 mo old Pitbull but I'll fill in this review based on the smaller one we replaced it with. The blue color is actually quite vibrant and easy to see. The strap system is pretty straight forward and only requires two connection points. However, the front belly strap that goes behind the front legs has to slip through a loop strap that comes off of that front, triangular pad in order to hold it tight. It took a couple tries to get this right. Also, you have to slide the dog's head through the hole as there is no release buckle there. This can be difficult if the pack is loaded down or the dog is wearing collars. I recommend detaching the cargo section before donning or removing the strapping section. The straps do have some nice elastic bands that hold excess slack up and off the ground. The pockets are simple and have some netting and elastic bands to keep items secure. Detaching the cargo section is really easy with just a side-clip and velcro holding it. In weather it holds up well, although we try not to go out if it's too wet as the motion from the bag might cause more chaffing. With that said, it is somewhat difficult to even up the straps. I'm a little concerned that the material and stitching might not hold up on the long haul but as of right now, I've been putting 2.5lb weights on either side and there hasn't been a tear yet. I wish the bags were slung forward over his front legs more instead of his back. Tightening the straps may help with this but I don't think the design will allow it too far forward. All and all, it's a great pack for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars highly recommended
Fits our weimaraner and stays on place, splendid for all her kit and some of mine!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great buy!
My dog is a high energy labrador and needed a job, and something to tire her out. This seems to do the trick. When we are camping she carries her own water and treats! She sometimes carries it around the neighbourhood if she needs a little more exercise. Either way, she looks like one proud pup with it on and has received lots of compliments. Definitely a much better way to channel her energy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for Day Hiking/ Bad for Back Country Camping
Went on a hiking trip with our Mastiff. Fits is perfect, got the XL. They way the bag can come off is great.Velcro holds very strong. We did some pretty serious back country camping with the dog. She carried her own food, nothing more. This bag did not last the first 35K of the 70K adventure. The one side ripped at the seems, the other side was fine. If you're doing some light hiking this would be a great pack. If you're looking for something sturdy, look for something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelent Product
This product is suitable for my Doberman. When we go out he carry his own stuff :) The bag is as same as it shown at the website. I like it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Very handy!
I have an Akita and this fitted him perfectly. In fact, it is still in use now and has kept its shape etc so is very robust. Especially, considering I have to wash it often because my dog gets muddy and also like to swim in rivers and reservoirs.
The handle on the back is great for getting better control of him as he dislikes most male dogs and male humans he comes across. However, I have had to use this to attach the lead as the loop meant for the lead to attach to broke as my dog is 50 Kg of power so pulls a lot and it just gave way. So it is a good job that the handle on the back is more robust.
I put a small water bottle in each side to keep him cool and so he can have a drink whenever he needs one when we are out and about. I also keep his poo bags in this so I don't forget them.
For a scary looking dog - mainly because he is so big - this looks super cute on him so makes him cuter and people less scared of him. This means he is friendlier as he tends to like most people as long as they are not scared.
I prefer this product to a normal collar and lead as the collar makes his neck red as he has sensitive skin. However, this product is very secure when on as you have all the straps holding it in place plus it does not irritate his skin anywhere.
I wouldn't recommend putting any in the pockets which make a noise when your dog moves as this irritates them. So no biscuits in a box which I tried once and he kept trying to bite side bag it was in as it was so noisy when he walked.
I will definitely buy this again if I need to.
