- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2016fantastic dog food, great product for the growing pup, he loves the taste. I am so glad I found this for Olaf the Pup best, Michael Vonsmith

- Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2017So far so good. When I brought our Bichonpoo mix puppy home, she was on Hill Science puppy diet. Doing well and gaining weight.
So now I'm starting to run low on that and began combining whole earth in with the remainder of the hill science. As soon as I opened the whole earth puppy food, my puppy was berserk over it. She loves it! I can use it as training treats. I dust diatomaceous earth on all her kibble before I feed it to her. And so far no problems with digestion. All her treats in between meals are vegan. Baked yam crisps, banana flaxseed cookies, raw apples carrots and frozen green beans and peas. Our family is vegan, so for the next bag of food (after she gets older) I'm thinking about buying a vegan dog food brand and possibly doing a 90/10% vegan/regular dog food mix.
I don't want to deprive her completely of animal meat, but I do hate seeing animal fat used in dog food.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2016I'm not going to go rouge and give this food 1 star because I believe that my experience isn't that of everyone else's, and may not be yours either. This seems to be an amazingly healthy puppy food with meat as the 1st ingredient, and my puppy loved the taste. That being said, every single day after we brought him home and fed him this food, he had terrible diarrhea. We stopped giving him treats, gave him some medication given to us by the vet, nothing worked. Last thing we tried was switching puppy food. This worked IMMEDIATELY. I have no idea what was in this food that upset his stomach but it was definitely the culprit. Again, I'm not one of those people that's going to ruin a companies online presence because of 1 bad experience, but i feel it is important for prospective buyers to be aware of.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2015Very high quality puppy food, and best of all my little Cavalier King Charles loves it.
It's pretty hilarious the way she takes one little tiny piece at a time, walks back to you, then eats it... but that's her style and she likes this food.
I bought this due to online reviews of quality of various dog foods. This was rated one of the very best for puppies.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2018This has given my dog diarrhea every time I've fed it to him(excluding when I was mixing it half/half with his old food). Looks like I'm going to have to throw out 30lbs of dog food.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2016I bought this product because the ingredients seemed really healthy and wholesome. I fed it to my 5 month old puppy twice a day at 1 cup each. His stool started becoming really loose and eventually turned to diarrhea. This persisted for days until I switched to another brand. I fed him the same amount and he doesn't have any tummy problems anymore. Not sure what the issue is, but I wouldn't recommend this if your puppy doesn't have a strong stomach.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2016I really trust this product. There's nothing gross in it (like animal digest) I know exactly every single ingredient in it. You pay about $1.30 per pound which isn't a bad deal. Most dog foods with similar ingredients and nutritional values cost this much or more. My dog eats 3 cups per day right now. So I go through one bag per month. So, $45(ish) per month? I won't complain...
I put my chocolate lab puppy on this food when I got her at 6 weeks. She had some digestive issues at first because I wasn't able to slowly transition her into it from Purina puppy chow, but once she adapted she did great. She's 6 months now and incredibly lean, has great muscle tone, endless energy, and practically inhales her food. I had her on a different food for month and she seemed to just have bigger amounts of waste coming out of her, which to me indicates there's more waste in that other food.
The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because even though she doesn't have digestive troubles on this food anymore, she seems to have more gas when she's on it and can clear a room when she's gassy. I have heard from other dog owners at my local dog park that they have had the same issue as well with this food. I believe this is due to the fermentation and plant based products so I'm really not concerned. But if you have really strong gag reflexes, maybe steer clear of this one.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2015Rescued a 5 week old, bottle fed pup. Vet suggested Merrick. after 3 straight weeks of diarrhea we got rid of parasites and Merrick was the 3rd food we tried to completely stop diarrhea and get him to gain weight. We paid the extra fro Merrick to have a China free product. He gained almost 10 pounds in first month and it was healthy weight. I don't agree with reviews that it gave their dogs diarrhea and the dog didn't like taste. My pup went crazy the first time we gave it to him. I have a healthy 3 month old pup with lots of energy and great weight. I HATE that it is so expensive, but will keep buying...
