I am an avid outdoors-man and I love to take my American Pit Bull Terrier on hiking and camping trips with me. He is almost 7 years old now and weighs approx. 75-80lbs. This product is very easy to use, hasn't left any irritation, and assures me that my dog won't drown. He is in very good shape and a great swimmer and doesn't need a floatation vest in most cases. I access a secluded campsite that requires tubing/swimming gear 500+ yards across a mountain lake to reduce the extra 3 mile hike. My buddies and I load our gear up on inner tubes, sit in our own to swim across, and I put the vest on my dog. I can rest through the center of the tube to help kick, let the group get a good head start with most of the gear and wait with my dog. Once they are about halfway across the lake i slide through and rest in the center of the tube so I can help kick but my dog does most of the work while I hold the handle and let him pull me across as my group calls for him. We all end up reaching the other side at the same time. I recommend this product to anyone who is involved with boating, swimming, hiking, camping, where they would like to bring their pet along. I've tossed my dog into the water wearing the vest and he pops right up. In the event your pet was knocked out or injured they would not sink and the vest is also reflective so even in the dark with a flashlight they can be located. Made of great quality and adjustable...if your dog doesn't have a deep chest or full body and around 75-80lbs I would recommend the medium size. My dog is on the smallest adjustments however he is very compact and muscular(APBT standard). I look forward to using this product for years to come and allowing my pet to accompany me even in his more docile downhill years.

GREAT LIFE JACKETS! dog 1 (size: medium) : (80lbs) She does NOT like swimming. but when we put the vest on her she needed a little bit of help getting in the water but once she realized the assisting buoyancy of the jacket she took right to it. SHE LOVES PADDLE BOARDING NOW! dog 2 (size: large) : (100lbs) He is our swimmer but in the ocean he would get tired really quick and then that would turn into panic mode when his head would start to drop under the water. with this vest he swims with much more confience and when he is tired he'll just float and then start swimming again. a few key points that make this THE dog life jacket are: - great solid stitching - especially the lifting handle - bright yellow extremely visible - strong clips and great straps - easy to adjust - quick drying - great balance for dogs in the water
