Much thinner than before

Much thinner than before
I bought this item over a year ago. The bands were very thick and strong. I finally ran out and order another, and what I received is nothing like the old one. See the attached picture. The elastic is also much stretchy-er, not in good way. I liked these precisely because it was thick and easy to cut off without cutting my dog's fur. With the new one so much thinner it'd be a harder task to separate the band from fur. I gave these a try, and they do not work well on my dogs. The elastic is so stretchy I need 4 wraps to make it tight enough, otherwise the band would gradually slip and loosen. I found bands much more better elsewhere. Returning these.

    I have bought and used several types of bands for the bows I make for my dog's very thin hair. These have proved to be the thickest and longest lasting bands. I like that they don't stretch out with continued use and I'm not afraid of getting "popped" by a band breaking as I'm trying to put it in my dog's hair. I will be buying these again when I run out!

    Yeah, they get the job done... but, they are very tough to stretch, making them very tight. Yes, they hold my shih tzu's long fur, tight, a bit too tight maybe, compared to a batch of whiter, and much more elastic bands that I bought previously. It makes me a bit nervous every time, i might have some hair pulling, and he would not be able to tell me!

    Would recommend a batch I bought previously to be honest, it was whiter and much more elastic.
