Ordered this for my newfy, took her with on a back country camping-hiking trip. We generally dont see many, if any, other humans on this trip, but just in case, i wanted to clearly identify my newf as a dog! I left this on her the whole time. (Except the hike in and out, when she wore her pack instead.) She slept in it (in the tent) wore it all day, and on day hikes. It is lightweight, but held up to some bushwhacking. Didnt cause her to be too hot. Velcro around belly and neck, fit her fine and stayed in place. She didnt seem to notice it was there.
I like to be able to see where she is even at night, Just before dark i put a light harness on her, over the top of this thing, it fit great, honestly looked like the 2 were made to go together. We were there 3 nights, the light up harness was almost dead by bedtime on night 3. But this saftey vest has good reflective bits that jumped out whenever i looked up (wearing headlamp, of course.)
Bought XL, she's 120lbs. Lots of fur.

Love this reflective cover
This cover is the perfect light weight rain coat and night time safety vest. My 40lbs poodle is in between sizes so the waist straps are a bit too long and the length of the jacket does not go all the way back to her tail. But it still does a go job. The bright reflective coat is extremely visible so when she is off lease on my 5 acres I can see her in a quick glance.

I have 2 of these for our labs and wanted another for my shih tzu. According to the chart, I got her an x small. She isn't super tiny so I was skeptical and thought I'd have to send it back when I got it, figuring she'd be busting out of it. WRONG! The staps under the belly are pretty long, so it's actually got more than enough room. Could almost have even got her a smaller size, if it was made.
If you have a dog smaller than a shih tzu, like a tea cup size dog, they will be swimming in a xsmall.
Otherwise, these are great vests, and I highly recommend.

These are the best vests you can get on Amazon. Trust me, I’ve bought them all. These are durable and SUPER VISIBLE. We walk the woods on our private property and they’re highly visible in the day or night. After dark when I turn on my headlamp these vest literally glow with reflection all around the edges. The paw prints are reflective too. I have bought all the colors available. The highest visibility is the yellow one, this pink one is bright and catches your eye too. The least visible out in the woods is the blue one. It still is highly reflective after dark but in the woods it’s not as good. The blaze orange one is nice, but Luna is a girl so I went for the pink. They also serve as a rain jacket in a way. I don’t like that they don’t have a lighter weight design for the hotter months. Make sure you measure your dog properly. The back measurement is what matters the most. The chest and belly can be adjusted way up tight. The Velcro gives out after about a year of twice per day usage.

This is a great safety vest for our chocolate lab for nighttime walks in the autumn and winter. It is good quality and it only took her wearing it once to understand this means she's going on a walk around the neighborhood.
The medium just fits her. She's a smaller Lab at only 60 pounds. The velcro straps make it easily adjustable.

My dog would have been fine with a medium based on his measurements. Due to some reviews that said to order up a size I decided to get the large worried it wouldn't fit. The large is definitely too big but I this I can stick or sew on some velcro and it'll be fine. I think this will fit perfectly over his winter coat too without being too tight!
