Less than 2 weeks after I received this, my new kitty managed to push through the screen on an opened window and disappear into the night.
I immediately went to the web site, which was easy to navigate and very helpful. I especially appreciated the easy-to-print "lost pet" fliers!
It turned out a neighbor had found the cat, so I can't tell you how well the scanning feature works. (He didn't have a scanner on his phone, he's an older guy.)
For the price and piece-of-mind, I highly recommend this, though a live gps-enabled unit or implanted chip would likely be more effective, of course at a higher price.
