My husband and I were getting ready to sell his Jeep this past weekend. We needed a way to remove the pet hair from the carpet. In the past we've tried everything--fancy brushes on expensive vacuums, shop-vacs, pumice stones, lint rollers/sheets--nothing ever worked. The pumice stones worked best in the past, but it destroyed the carpet. We ordered the CarPET after seeing slightly mixed reviews, but I saw some rave ones as well.
I am happy to say that the CarPet FAR exceeded our expectations! It worked great! Not only did it loosen the dog hair (we have and Australian Shepherd and a Husky--we're talking LOTS of hair), but also sand and dirt. With the CarPet and a shop vacuum, we were both able to clean the Jeep and our Subaru of pet hair in under 2 hours.
I will say that the CarPet did show signs of wear after use in the first vehicle. The little nodules showed wear, but at the price for the success we had--we will definitely be using the CarPet again in the future! My husband was so pleased he said, "Make sure that you get back online and leave a review!"

An okay pet hair remover, but leaves behind residue
I purchased this for my auto detailing business. It works decently to remove embedded pet fur, but I mainly use it to "stripe" carpets when I'm done. You have to use light pressure, otherwise the little orange "nubs" break off and leave orange crumbly residue streaks behind, which require agitation and vacuuming again. So ... eh. It's okay but there are much better pet fur removal tools out there. I prefer the triangular shaped one. But this does its job striping carpets and mats for me.

I don't know why the one and two star reviewers had problems. I received this today. My primary reason for purchasing it was to use it on my multilevel cat tree. We have a black and white tuxedo cat and she spends a lot of time on the tree and it's covered with grayish fuzz. I use my Dyson Animal vacuum on it, but it requires using the accessories and it's time consuming. I tried the CarPET hair remover today and it worked great. The only minus is that I could not get into the corners and edges because of the construction of the tree. Not a problem, as I ran my fingernail on them and the hair came loose. Because many of the poor ratings mentioned carpet and upholstery, I tried it on both and had great results. I've attached photos to demonstrate the before and after.
