- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2016This book will certainly help you make the most out of time you spend with your puppy. A great guide, from top to bottom, without a flaw. It's really important to treat the puppy adequately at the beginning of the training process, just so it could get used to your expectations, demands and its surroundings. There are also a lot of "small things" you should pay attention to, and some tips you should be eager to implement as soon as possible, such as house breaking your puppy, teaching it how to use the potty and how to stop chewing and eating literally everything it runs into.
There's a lot more useful content in this book, but it's not up to me to give it all up. If you're really interested in making the life for you and your puppy as interesting and as good as possible, then you shouldn't be having second thoughts regarding this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2017Very basic info on puppy training.
Many topics were covered very briefly - nothing was covered extensively.
I didn't learn anything from this book that I hadn't already read in free 'puppy guides'.
Typos, grammatical errors and inconsistent formatting makes this book look
like a first-time DIY self-publishing effort.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2016I'm so disappointed that I spent more than $3 on this. All it is, is a 20 page book on why you should train you pet. No actual training tips. Please don't waste your money on this.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2016I've been devouring dog training books after getting our new little puppy. Each training manual is unique, though a lot of them off the same basic principles. This one is very thorough and I was happy with the grammar and layout. There were a few new tips and tricks, especially for crate training; which we've been having a hard time with! Great book.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2016Did not have any more information than you can get anywhere on the internet for free. Only skimmed the surface of puppy training. No real life application at all.

3.0 out of 5 stars This is barely a guide
I had purchased this book when we got a puppy, expecting to learn in some level of detail the most important things to focus on in the first few weeks of owning a dog. The book certainly gives you an overview of what to work on/what to look out for, so it certainly deserves its 3 stars. However, if you want a guide that delves into exercises and concepts in any level of detail, this is not the book for you.
Also, the way this was written, this was clearly meant to be an e-book, not a paper book. Also, it is awkwardly written at times, and the proof-reading wasn't exhaustive as some pretty basic grammatical mistakes slipped through the review and editing process.
